About

The concept was simple at first.  Take music that I enjoy and support, and create a place where others would be able to enjoy that as well.  I started ThatNuMusic as an alternative source to scouring the internet for that next big track you can’t get rid of.  To a point the concept has worked except for one issue, not all of the music that I come to find and love can be placed there.  Hence, why the ThatNuMusic blog has been created.

Since then, I’ve discovered that ThatNuMusic wasn’t exactly the right name for the ever-growing brand that I’m creating. As the brand has grown I’ve found myself branching out into various forms of the art world, from the music side of things, to designing and photography. The brand has grown from strictly being a place of music for the masses, to a place where artists can also come and get some advice on how to better develop/work their craft, a place where I can further release the various efforts/ventures I’m working on personally, and a place that will not only help me grow with the times, but also to hopefully help you grow as well. The name ILLDefined Artistry comes from two different ideas; The first of which is that that there is really no predefined set of artistry that will be found here. The blog is not going to strictly be hip-hop, or rnb, or dance. It’s also not going to just be related to releasing music, there will be photography, and other artforms, along with culture and educating the masses posts. Secondly, the name comes from the urban definition of ill. While, ill-defined stands for being poorly defined (in this case, no predefined set of art forms), the urban definition flips ill-defined on its head and describes it as being sick, something that you need to know about.

ILLDefined Artistry is exactly that, a place where sick artistry of all forms and genres is acknowledged and celebrated.

Come celebrate with me.
