The video, featuring a futuristic L.A. with the police trying to subdue a suspect with supernatural powers, brings the ideas of a big brother, police state government to life. After a little hiatus, the homie Lincoln is back at it releasing some new music for fans to enjoy. When I saw him perform in March, he dropped a ton of new music live that was just waiting to come out. The energy he’s coming with is exactly the sound of Bad Girl, blending bits of hip-hop with his indie sound. Be sure to stay on the lookout for more, because this is only the beginning of Lincoln’s next moves.

I met Nylo last month when she was in Toronto headlining The Known Unknown. She is by far one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet, and to top it off she was the apple of every guy’s eye that night (I heard the words of many who wanted to hit on her). That day she was quite ecstatic as she had just sent in new music to get mastered. Music off her next project Indigo, which Fool For Me is the first release off of. In the track, Nylo talks about man who fooled her once, but who she won’t let fool her again.

Kendrick drops a new video that is heavy on religious imagery. Set at a funeral the video starts off with a sombre mood, which switches over to a celebration of life as Kendrick hops into the limo to head to the burial. Making a statement that relates to the theme, the video closes off with a particularly powerful message.

When Lyfe was sentenced to 3 years in jail, he spoke of retiring from music/touring so being a huge fan of his I was quite disappointed that it would possibly be the end of hearing new music from him. I can be thankful in saying the world has not seen the last of Lyfe as he was recently released, and had new music to record. The first of which is his new song Boomerang, which talks about a common subject of his, relationships and broken hearts.

Rollin’ has been a big track for my homie iSH. Originally, the track was picked up by CTV to be used as the soundtrack to the London 2012 Olympic highlight reels. The track now is officially being released as his major label debut single. The lyric video takes a different view than your typical lyric video as it takes you behind the scenes of iSH’s life from hanging out, to studio sessions and photo shoots while still taking the roll of a lyric video. I’m definitely waiting to see what else is in store for him over the next few months as things start to pick up with this solid single. One of Toronto’s youngest, and newest EDM sensations Maxum is back at it again with a new anthem for you to start the summer off with. After travelling down to Miami and going to Ultra this year, Maxum was inspired to capture that energy he saw at Ultra and put it into a song. Out came Skyline, a big room, progressive house anthem that will definitely get your hands up and have you dancing. Already receiving praises from Thomas Gold and Eddie Halliwell, Maxum is definitely someone to keep a watch out for as Toronto becomes a mainstay of EDM talent.
