Alesso – Live At Electric Daisy Carnival

For me, a lot of Swedish progressive house DJ mixes sound fairly similar, whether it’s Alesso, Swedish House Mafia, or some of their associated acts. The tracks played are generally the same albeit in different orders so they get a little repetitive. This Alesso mix is quite similar to his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix that came out 2 months ago with the addition and removal of a few tracks like his track with Sebastian Ingrosso Calling (Losing My Mind). I can’t say it shows off anything new but it’s definitely a worthwhile mix for anyone who wasn’t able to go to Electric Daisy Festival this weekend in New York.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – Calling (Lose My Mind) Ft. Ryan Tedder (Video)

Swedish house DJs/producers Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso teamed up with Ryan Tedder (most notably the frontman from the band One Republic) to create a great track that samples the already well oversampled Levels by Avicii. Tedder’s vocals sound amazing over the Levels sample. The video features studio visuals as well as live performance clips of Sebastian and Alesso (including clips from Coachella a few weeks ago).

Alesso – BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

Swedish DJ/Producer Alesso, is the latest to jump on the BBC Radio 1′s Essential Mix. Like any good DJ, Alesso is down in Miami right now playing Swedish House Mafia’s stage event this weekend. A good portion of the set reminds me of the Swedish House Mafia Live At Madison Square Gardens set I posted a while back as quite a few songs are played on both sets, albeit in slightly different order.
