Recent Interscope signee Mateo hasn’t really dropped much since his single with Alicia Keys Say It’s So, so it’s only fitting that he covers a track from an artist that has some connections to him (they have the same team working on their projects). Mateo’s able to keep the feel of Lana Del Rey’s Blue Jeans by being able to hit some of those unique notes that she pulls off, while still giving the track his own spin. I can only imagine what a stripped down performance of these two talented artists would turn out like, hopefully it happens.
